About us
Hanover IT Recruitment was established in 2006, born out of a vision to build a company comprised of the best web technology recruiters in the market.
Almost two years in, and we are achieving what we set out to do through a company culture focused on depth of understanding of web technologies and their business applications, professionalism and investment in our most valuable resource; our people.
We provide a better service to our clients and candidates by creating an interdependent environment for our staff. An environment which values inspiration over micro-management and innovation over process.

| The way that most IT recruitment companies work: | The way we work at Hanover: |
|---|---|
| Target employees on the number of CV’s sent out every day. | Coach our consultants to set their own targets and value quality over quantity. |
| Monitor number of hours employees spend on the phone to clients and candidates, thus increasing the likelihood that clients / candidates will have to spend time on pointless phone conversations. | Train our consultants to understand client / candidate individuality and preference in methods and frequency of communication. |
| Create a flashy bravado culture focused on how much money individuals make, which often leads to 'cowboy' antics and perpetuates the poor image of the industry and the professionals within it. | Create a culture which values professionalism, passion, personal development and job satisfaction as well as the financial rewards. |
| Encourage very long hours, working when sick and minimal holidays. | Teach our consultants the value of work life balance and how to optimise their performance rather than drive it into the ground. |
| Hire and fire a high volume of staff and accept 'employee burnout' after an average of eighteen months leaving little in the way of experience and depth of knowledge throughout their teams. | Consistently improve our own recruitment processes in order to keep staff turnover low and retain the skills and experience which are essential to the service that we provide. |
